Terms & Conditions

By accessing or using Skilyze (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; we will post the revised version with a new effective date, and your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Skilyze. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@skilyze.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Authentication is provided via third-party providers (e.g., Google, Stytch). Their terms and privacy policies apply in addition to ours.

Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal career development and job application needs. You may not resell, sublicense, or build competing services using Skilyze.

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service — including the software, design, résumé templates, layouts, logos, trademarks, and underlying technology — are and remain the exclusive property of Skilyze and its licensors. Except for the limited license in the section above, these terms grant you no rights in our intellectual property. The Skilyze name, logo, and related marks may not be used without our prior written permission.

Feedback. If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback about the Service, you grant Skilyze a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and incorporate it for any purpose, with no obligation to you.

You retain ownership of resumes, cover letters, attachments, and other content you submit ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Skilyze a worldwide, royalty-free license to process, store, and display it solely to operate and improve the Service for you.

You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit your User Content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

Skilyze uses large language models to generate resumes, cover letters, learning courses, and suggestions. AI output may contain inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying any generated content before using it in a job application or elsewhere.

We do not guarantee that AI output is factually correct, free of bias, or suitable for any specific employer or jurisdiction.

Paid plans do not automatically renew. When you buy a plan you are charged once, for the single term you chose (monthly, half-yearly, or yearly). We do not place a recurring charge on your payment method, and we will never charge you again without you starting a new purchase yourself.

When your term ends, your account returns to the free plan automatically. Nothing is deducted, no notice period applies, and there is nothing you need to cancel. If you want to continue on a paid plan, you buy another term from the Plans page whenever you choose to.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's systems and are never stored by us.

We may change pricing at any time. Because each purchase is a separate one-off transaction, a price change can never affect a term you have already bought — it only applies to purchases you make after the change.

There is nothing to cancel. Because plans do not auto-renew, you are never at risk of an unexpected charge and you never have to take an action to avoid one. Your term runs to its end date and stops. You are not enrolled in any recurring or negative-option programme.

Partial periods are not refunded. You keep full access for the whole term you paid for, so we do not refund unused time within a term.

Goodwill refunds. If you are unhappy with a first-time subscription, contact us within 7 days (or 14 days for annual plans) and we will refund it, provided you have used less than 15% of your monthly AI token allowance. AI generation costs us money per use, so we cannot refund a subscription that has already been used to generate a significant amount of content. You can see exactly how much you have used at any time on your plan and usage page.

This goodwill policy is something we offer voluntarily, in addition to your statutory rights. It does not limit or replace them — see the next section.

If we refund a subscription, the related access ends and any referral commission generated by that payment is reversed.

Everyone gets 14 days. Wherever you live, you may withdraw from a subscription within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided you have used less than 15% of your monthly AI token allowance. You do not need to give a reason. Email us at support@skilyze.com and we will process it.

We offer this voluntarily, to everyone. The usage condition applies only to this voluntary offer — it does not, and cannot, limit the statutory rights described below.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal on distance contracts, allowing you to cancel for a full refund without giving a reason.

Skilyze is a digital service that is made available to you immediately after purchase. At checkout you are asked to expressly request immediate access and to acknowledge that, in doing so, you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been supplied. This is permitted under Article 16 of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (and the equivalent UK regulations). We record the date, time, and version of these terms against which you gave that consent.

If you have not given that consent, or you have not yet been given access to the paid service, your 14-day right of withdrawal is unaffected — email us at support@skilyze.com and we will refund you in full.

These rights are in addition to the goodwill refunds described above and to the 14-day withdrawal offer at the top of this section. Where they overlap, whichever is most favourable to you applies. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory rights you have as a consumer.

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent content;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service;
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or infringe others' rights;
• Upload malware or attempt unauthorized access to other accounts.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if required by law. You may close your account at any time from Settings. On termination, your access ends immediately; we may retain data as described in the Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Skilyze does not guarantee employment outcomes, interview results, or any specific career benefit.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skilyze and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Skilyze and its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your User Content; (b) your use or misuse of the Service; (c) your violation of these terms; or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Skilyze is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute with us informally by contacting support@skilyze.com. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.

• Entire Agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Skilyze regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
• Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full force and effect.
• Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right.
• Assignment. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• Force Majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
